Art and Media students at Works4U Specialist College in Stalybridge recently visited the Van Gogh Alive Exhibition at Media City in Salford.
Prior to the visit, they were asked to be involved in a digital exhibition and enter a competition to produce a piece of artwork inspired by famous Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh.
Three of the art students entered the competition producing two pieces of artwork - one was a large collage made from recycled card and plastic, and the second was a digital drawing by Mia (see below).
Kyle and Gabby won their category receiving a prize, a certificate and tickets to re-visit the exhibition.
Art tutor Samantha Fletcher said: "We have some incredibly talented young people at Work4U. It is lovely for our students to be recognised for their abilities and it makes me extremely proud to be a part of their learning journey."
The original pieces will be exhibited at The Peoples Gallery, Melbourne Street, Stalybridge, SK15 2JE, during The Bridge Art Fest which runs on 8 and 9 April, courtesy of Gordon Clegg.
