Stalybridge Festival Committee is looking forward to hosting Stalybridge Spring Show in Cheetham Park on Sunday (1 May).
Organising Secretary Ian Cochrane says the event will start at 11am and includes live entertainment from 1pm.
There will be a fun dog show and live music, a large family fun fair, hot food stalls and a large number of trader and community stalls.
The Festival Committee have teamed up with the Sarah England School of Dance, who will be performing several dances around a five metre high maypole in the performance area in the park.
This will include a routine with a large number of the Dance School’s younger members at 1pm and a spectacular showstopper with adults in costumes after the dog show.
For animal lovers there will also be a fun dog show starting at 1.30pm. Anyone wanting to enter will just need to go along with their dogs and register on the day.
The entry fee is £2 per category. There will be five categories: Dog with the Loveliest Eyes, Dog with the Waggiest Tail, The Cutest Puppy, Best Presented Dog, Best Rescue Dog.
The winner of each category will also be competing for the title of Best Dog In Show.
Ian said: “There will be lots of activities for all the family to have a great day in the park and help us raise extra funds towards next year’s Carnival.”
