Stalybridge Civic Hall is opening its doors to the public this Friday (September 10) in a rare event.
From 4pm to 7pm, Tameside residents can explore the 150-year-old building on Trinity Street, finding out about its past, present and future.
Repairs are planned for the Grade 2 listed building and these are going to be discussed at the event, alongside a study to determine a potential future use for the hall.

Tameside Council executive member for Finance and Economic Growth Cllr Oliver Ryan, and chair of the Stalybridge Advisory Group Cllr Sam Gosling added: “We want to create a portrait of Stalybridge where people can share stories and photographs which will build a picture of how this historic town has changed.
“If you have any special memories about the town, it’s buildings and events, we’d love to hear them.”
