Swim school makes a splash to help mums and babies

Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester are spreading the festive cheer to families in need this holiday season, as they have donated toys and essentials to Cascade Baby Bundles in Hyde, who provide parents with much-needed baby essentials throughout the local area.

For their annual Christmas campaign, the baby and child swim-school, which operates lessons throughout Tameside and Greater Manchester, decided to give back to their local community as they know this year has been such a difficult time for many.

Puddle Ducks’ has had to close their pools throughout lockdown, with lessons stopping in March and once again in November, but they are not letting that stop them from bringing festive cheer to the community this year.

Cascade Baby Bundles in Hyde provides much needed baby supplies including clothes, nappies, toiletries, accessories, prams, buggies, food, and baby formula, to many parents in the local area who are in need.

They aim to support parents by providing a ‘Baby Bundle’ gift containing items of clothing, toys and essentials that will help cushion the financial impact of a child on a family experiencing hardship. They provide these bundles for new-born babies and children up to age ten.

Owner of Puddle Ducks Greater Manchester, Suzanne Horton, commented: “We really wanted to give back to our local community this year, as we know it has been an uncertain and troubling time for most. Cascade does a great job supporting local struggling parents, and they have seen an increase in demand since the pandemic began.

“As parents ourselves who are passionate about childhood development and learning, this charity is close to our heart. We understand the difficulties that come with raising children, especially when the pandemic has brought hardship to many families, and we hope our donation helps. Every family deserves to be warm and comfortable this Christmas, to properly enjoy the company of their loved ones and the cheer that the season brings!”
