X – Trail 10k  - 16th June

A route accessible for all, the first day of the Walking Tour takes you on a journey through Park Bridge. Starting at Oldham Rugby Club, walkers will adventure over stone steps and trail paths, making for an enjoyable evening walk.

This route covers 2.6km and begins at 6.15pm, the perfect start to a four-day walking journey.

This is a moderate walk with incline in parts, so walkers are advised to wear appropriate footwear.

Hell on the Fell – 17th June

Runners often dub the Hell on the Fell as the hardest route on the course, but for walkers there is a stunning trail to enjoy.

Starting at Copley Academy, walkers will lead up the public footpath towards Swineshaw Road. It begins with a steep incline on a gravel path but soon levels out and is flat throughout.

Walkers can explore the beauty of the Stalybridge Country Park, taking in the nature surrounding this hidden spot.

This route covers 2.92km and will begin at 6.15pm and will allow walkers to watch the runners finish the gruelling Hell on the Fell race.

Hero Half  - 18th June

Meeting at the Longedendale trail car park, walkers take on a 2km adventure on Saturday morning.

With a slight incline on the trail, this route is a moderate walk and takes you on a scenic path with lovely views of the reservoir. A slightly shorter walk, the Hero Half is a great way to start your weekend morning at walkers are expected to begin at 9am.

Dr Ron Hyde 7 – 19th June

To conclude four day’s worth of adventurous trails, walkers will finish on Sunday with a 1.93km journey through Hyde.

Accessible to wheelchairs users throughout, the final walk is a flat surface throughout and a relatively easy route to complete.

Celebrating the end of the challenge, participants will finish outside Hyde Town Hall.
