Tameside Rotary help make Easter egg-stra special

Tameside Rotary turned Easter bunny with some egg-stra special deliveries.

The Rotary team delivered sherry, biscuits, chocolates, fudge and flowers to Sandon House Care Home in Mossley, also to staff at Stamford Court, Stalybridge, and The Lakes Care Home, Dukinfield, to help make their residents’ Easter a little bit brighter.

Tameside Rotary President Angela Robbins said she wanted to give Easter treats to older people this year and staff were keen to point out that the sherry went down well at bedtime and wine with the evening meal!

Tameside Rotarian Julie Nield has forged links with all Tameside Care Homes after Rotary’s robotic cat campaign.

Sandon House have another robotic cat now as well as a robotic dog helping bring comfort for their dementia patients.

Community chair John Moon helped deliver the gifts.

Tameside Rotary’s next big fundraiser will be the St George’s Concert in aid of Project Recce and SSAFA.

You can inbox Tameside Rotary on Facebook or email via Rotary’s website on how to purchase tickets.

Alternatively you can pay on the door at St. George’s Church, Stalybridge on April 30 if the maximum seating capacity has not been reached.

Tickets cost £8 and includes a glass of wine or juice and an individual cake.

Flags for waving and celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be supplied!
