Three teenage boys have been arrested after two men were targeted by robbers in Ashton.
Police were called to reports of an incident outside a pub on Warrington Street at around 1am on Tuesday morning (4 April).
Two men were targeted by a gang of five males, with the pair briefly managing to escape before being caught up again on Market Street.
One of the men was forced to kneel down before being searched by the gang. He had a blue Stone Island coat and money stolen from him. The other man also had money taken by the group.
A 15-year-old male and two 16-year-old males have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time.
DCI Abdul Kahar of the Neighbourhood Crime Team said: “This was a distressing incident and I want to reassure the community that their safety is our top priority.
“We are appealing for those who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to our officers, as it this may help with our enquiries.”
