Children and young people (CYP) living in Tameside and Glossop who are struggling with their mental health can now access an improved emotional and mental health community offer.
The offer is tailored to suit the needs of those aged eight to 18 years and their families and is designed to increase open access to ‘Getting Advice and Help’ and based on the THRIVE Framework - supporting all to thrive.
Following a ‘soft launch’ in December last year, Mind officially launched their brand new Tameside CYP Service last Thursday at the Ashton office on Katherine Street.
Two separate sessions were held for partners and professionals and then for parents and young people.
The event was co-designed by young people, for young people - working in partnership with 42nd Street.
The event was well attended and provided an opportunity to meet the team and find out what’s available, take part in well-being taster sessions, pick up resources and information and find out about ‘Well-being Hubs’ across Tameside.
It also provided an opportunity to discover the range of family support and training options available, as well as networking and connecting with others from CYP services.
There was also a Q&A session to help shape services.
