Two men were arrested for assault occasioning actual bodily harm following an incident in Stalybridge.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said they were called to reports of an assault on High Street at around 4.10pm on Monday afternoon (8 August).
They added: "Officers attended the scene and found that two men, aged 32 and 28 had been involved in the incident. Only minor injuries were reported."
There was a large emergency service response at the scene, with police and ambulances in attendance for a couple of hours. Residents on social media reported that there had been a stabbing and there was a cordon was in place.
