Urgent appeal for missing teen who "left a note" for his family

The family of a teenager missing from Oldham have made an urgent plea for any information that may help trace him.

Dillon Duffy, 18, left his family a note saying "how low he was feeling" yesterday, June 18, before switching his phone off.

Following searches of his laptop, it became apparent that he had purchased a one-way train ticket travelling from Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston and new CCTV images have now confirmed that he arrived at the station at around 4.45pm on Tuesday. This was the last known sighting of him.

Dillon is around 5ft 9in tall, of medium build and recently had his hair cut 'very short'. He was last seen wearing a dark green hooded North Face jacket with black slim-fitting tracksuit bottoms and Nike trainers with white soles.

The latest CCTV images also show him wearing a beige baseball cap and carrying a black Puma backpack. He is believed to have a Simpsons novelty blanket with him.

Dillon's mum, Donna, said: "This is a parent's worst nightmare - I'm worried sick and just want to know he is safe somewhere. It was a normal day, like any other, I came home and started making tea. I got suspicious when Dillon's phone went to voicemail and that's when I found a note."

She added that she hadn't noticed any warning signs prior to his disappearance and the note was "totally out of the blue".

Dillon's dad has now travelled down to London to search for him. The public are being urged to contact police if they have any details in regard to the teen's whereabouts.
