A young care leaver from Tameside has designed the Civic Mayor's 2021 Christmas card.
Each year, the Mayoral Christmas card traditionally features a changing design.
This year, Tameside Civic Mayor Cllr Janet Cooper invited young people to share in this festive tradition by submitting their artwork for a chance for their design to be featured on the card.
The young care leaver, 16, who is a member of the Children in Care Council, created the winning design.

The colourful artwork depicts a snowy Christmas scene of Dukinfield Town Hall, complete with Christmas trees, a snowman and Father Christmas flying overhead.
The Mayor was delighted with the winning design, saying: “It is wonderful to involve our local young people in this festive tradition. Christmas is a time of togetherness and unity and this has been a fantastic opportunity for young people to get creative and spread some Christmas cheer.”
The Christmas card is sent to civic heads, local community groups, organisations and charities, twin towns and civic dignitaries across Tameside and the UK.
Its message reads: “May the blessings of Peace, Health and Happiness be with you at Christmas and always.”
