The Information Highway

From Monday 27th January onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are The Information Highway. The five piece Manchester band reformed in 2022 after a short break and quickly made their mark back on the Northwest music scene as a highly respected band. Influenced by the iconic 1990's music scene, and the Factory Records bands, they also have gained many plaudits for their constant support of many new and upcoming bands from Greater Manchester, including showcasing gigs at their Habitat Studios home in Manchester. Consisting of Vocalist and Guitarist Lee Kyte, Bass Player Lee Wimp, Drummer Joe Bast, Keyboard Player Jeff Woodruff, and Lead Guitarist Lee Gallagher, the much-loved band describe their music as 'Uplifting Anthemic Indie, with songs which inspire, uplift, and connect with audiences on a deeply emotional level'. Songs released so far include 'Lazy Days', 'Won't Let You Down', and 'Touch The Sky', with more new music promised soon. Last year they also become the house band for Manchester's original and best online grassroots and underground TV channel, Mancunia TV, appearing at the end of every show.
