The Sick Fix

From Monday 9th December onwards, band of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature are The Sick Fix. The young four piece indie punk band, consisting of bass guitarist Ollie Jaques, rhythm guitarist Alfie Radford, drummer Ted Wright and lead guitarist and lead vocalist Leo Mitchell formed in April, and have already started making a noise on the local music scene. Influenced by the likes of The Libertines, The Chats, The Clash, The Jam and The Small Faces, respected music magazine 'Louder Than War' described the band as "Encapsulating the chaotic spirit of early punk and the attitude of The Libertines". As a loud, fast and energetic live band, they have already played gigs at venues including Manchester Academy three times, Amp in Stockport, Ramp in Horwich, and The Waterloo in Blackpool. The band plan on releasing a debut EP in the New Year and already have single tracks available on Spotify. With gigs around the Northwest and further afield in place for 2025, they will also be playing at our Indie Rock n Roll Local Music Spotlight live night on Friday January 24th at Whittles Live Music Venue in Oldham, alongside Black Sonic Revolver, Foxglove, The Sprats, Gdansk81, Ventrelles and Sugarcrease and Dave Sweetmore. Tickets are on sale now.
