Yon Mon

From Monday 7th April onwards, artist of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature is Yon Mon. The project consists of new solo music by much loved and former The Shed Project frontman Roy Fletcher. His alias name 'Yon Mon' is taken from an old Northern England saying meaning 'What's he up to?' Singles released so far include 'Warmongers', 'Picture This', and 'Shine On', and a debut album is due for release in July. Yon Mon's music has been produced by former Jade Assembly musician Danny Hayes, and the album will feature collaborations with legendary Mancunian rapper MC Tunes, who as well as enjoying a successful career in his own right, is known for his work with 808 State and Dust Junkys. Although no live dates are planned yet, Roy Fletcher and his solo 'Yon Mon' project plans to have a full band together and be playing gigs towards the end of the year.
