Zeny Bux
From Monday 4th November onwards, our artist of the week on Tameside Radio's Local Music Spotlight feature is Zeny Bux. Influenced by the likes of Oasis, The Stone Roses, Northside and The La's, the 19-year-old singer songwriter has recently supported The La's guitarist Barry Sutton and Seahorses frontman Chris Helme.
He's based in Oldham and his parents are Pakistani and Kenyan. After releasing a cover of The Beatles song 'I Am The Walrus' Zeny has built a strong following with his version receiving over 130,000 plays to date. Last year he also released his debut single 'Better Dreams' which gained him much praise on social media.
Earlier this year he released his debut EP ‘In My Vision’ which is available on CD at Manchester's Vinyl Revival. His new single 'If I Fade' was released last Friday and is available on all streaming platforms. Zeny will be playing live at The Dog Inn in Chadderton on Saturday November 9th, and will also be appearing at the respected After All Festival at Gulliver's in Manchester on Saturday May 10th.
Zeny Bux and his music will be played on every daytime show on Tameside Radio from 6am on Monday 4th November. He also joined the team on The Dave Sweetmore Show last Monday night, 28th October, you can listen again via the OnDemand section of the website.
